The best chance IMO for the ukranian team to progress trough CHL preliminars: they are becoming usual to play the preliminars round and I guess that this first round could be easy at their level. Shakthar should be in good fit condition, started already the ukranian league (3 games played: 3 won): they lost anyway the most important match of this part of season (Supercup against Dynamo Kiev by 2-0). They well leaded by the romanian expert coach Mircea Lucescu and they will count over the strongness of the middle zone...
where Tymoschuk and Elano can give big quality, more Matuzalem (in italian serie A some years ago) is now a complete a mature footballer; the attack front can suggest many alternatives to Lucescu (usually Brandao is the strong point, but watch for Marika and Agahova too like good changes, more Bielik is a good offensive player).
Probable line-up: Shutkov; Shevchuk, Hubshman, Leonardo, Srna; Fernandinho, Matuzalem, Elano, Tymoschuk; Brandao, Marika.
By the other side Legia will start like more weaker team than last year, when they had the leadership of polish league: Legia has not shown to be in well form condition in last matches played and the defensive line seems to be very slow and they missed of a strong central defender; the attack line is IMO to build yet to be competitive at this european levels.
Probable line-up:
Fabianski; Edson, Choto, Hugo, Szala; Vukovic, Surma, Szalachowski, Wlodarczyk; Edson, Janczyk.
I don't see really any chance for the polish team to came out something of positive from this match; I think that Shakthar will play to win, but also to keep clean sheets for a comfortable return leg, at the same time Shakthar should win large.
